The Juice Academy is the brainchild of Tangerine Communications which, after 15 years in the creative industry and, having run a number of job creation and training programmes, knows a thing or two about finding and nurturing talent.
Businesses get the opportunity to invest in budding talent across the North West, and young people have a chance to work with some of the UK’s biggest brands including Social Chain, Unilad, JW Lees, GM Police, Prolific North and Manchester Airport.
The programme begins with their unique recruitment process, where every quarter they hold a boot camp day for the employers to select their apprentice out of up to 50 candidates. Having trained over 200 bright young things, The Juice Academy is the first industry-led social media apprenticeship, in the UK.
The majority of tutors are Tangerine employees, along with expert guest speakers such as Google Expert Susan Dolan, Amanda Coleman from GM Police, Steve Kuncewicz from Slater & Gordon, Chris Marsh from UK Fast.
Recently the course has moved from a 12 month Social Media for business apprenticeship to an 18 month Digital Marketing apprenticeship and The Juice Academy has become an accredited study centre for CIM, with Northcoders delivering the coding training.
