“Five killer moves to increase conversion”

12:15 – 12:35 Katie King, CEO & Founder, Zoodikers

“Business 4.0. How can businesses prepare, evolve and thrive in a new world dominated by AI?”
Historically, customers have measured the cost of their travel programme by looking at the price they paid for a flight, train or hotel stay. Recently (over the last two years), our industry started to get excited about adding expense data into the mix, to look at the total cost of travel – however my approach is different. My approach looks deeper than this, and crosses over into combining customer measures – such as sales targets, and combines it with a more granular traveller experience view.

12:35 – 12:55 Martin Bryant, Consultant, speaker, writer, and educator in the fields of technology and media

“Digital publishing in 2018: it’s not all doom and gloom”
Facebook isn’t a traffic bonanza anymore, advertising revenue is collapsing, trust in the media is through the floor. Are there any reasons for publishers to be cheerful in 2018? There are, if they’re smart.

“Why I don’t accept briefs (and how to increase collaboration)”
Do you want to move away from being seen as “service delivery”?
Do you feel like you’ve got skills going to waste?
Sick of finding out about a piece of work days before it’s due… but it’s ok because “you’re digital”?
If any of that resonates, this session’s for you. We’ll look at how my team overcame these issues, and why we fundamentally don’t accept briefs!

13:35 – 13:55 Rob Ramsey, Partnerships leader, Channel 4
Jane Hector-Jones, Group Partnership Manager, Channel 4
Nik Wheatley, Head of The Story Lab, The Story Lab Manchester

“Channel 4 outline their strategy for commercially branded content and take a look, with The Story Lab, at the recent successful Thomas Cook partnership with The Secret Life of 5 year olds on Holiday.”

13:55 – 14:15 Jane Hamilton, Sun Journalist and Communications Consultant

“READ ALL ABOUT IT – How to make sure you make the news in today’s – and tomorrow’s – media landscape”
REALLY good journalism isn’t about talking at a reader. It’s about talking with them. It’s about opening dialogues, opening minds and engaging a person with a media – and often consumer – brand. So this unique session will see top Fleet Street journalist and PR and marketing expert Jane Hamilton quizzed by former Sun news editor Chris Pharo, who now heads up newsgen experts 72 Point, on what the rapidly changing media landscape means for brands, markeeters and PRs. The audience will be invited to join in, question the pair and get involved in the conversation. We’ll have 20 minutes to explore all you need to know, but it could be the most enlightening 20-minute talk you’ll hear all year.
