Standby Productions has exhibited at Prolific North Live / Marketing Show North for the last 4 years. The first year was a huge success for us and we very quickly recognised the opportunity to create a number of new leads, that would otherwise never be possible. Marketing Show North attracts genuinely lovely people, so it makes it very easy to spend 2 whole days endlessly chatting and making new connections. Nice work MSN team, see you next year!!
Simon Owen, Managing Director for Standby Productions
In this world of converging media, it is good to know that Marketing Show North provides the ideal platform to really get to grips with what is going on. The PRCA is proud to support the PR & Communications industry in this vibrant part of the world.
Steve Miller MPRCA, PRCA Membership & Partnerships Director
The exhibition was a great platform to showcase the services we offer Halston Marketing and for engaging potential clients. It was also a great opportunity to learn about other industries, and how they’re incorporating various Marketing methods. MSN was a great way to capture insight and inspiration!
Georgia Halston Director of Halston Marketing
We came to MSN19 for the first time as an exhibitor, it has been a really positive show for us, we met some great businesses who have since committed to us for a number of services we provide. We have just signed up for eCommerce show north off the back of this show. Manchester is definitely the place to be to showcase your business.
John-Paul Rowe, Colewood
This was our first time exhibiting at Marketing Show North and I was very impressed with the numbers and seniority of delegates. We had some fabulous conversations over the two days and we have had several companies buy from us already! Looking forward to being part of this next year and on behalf of everyone at AD Merchandise, thank you to all involved in organising the event.
Amo Singh, Managing Director for Ad Merchandise
We launched our rebrand live at MSN and it was a great success in terms of brand exposure, with a really positive vibe amongst all attendees across the 2 days!
I feel like we have been well supported by the event organisers and the PN media team in advance of, during and post the show and it was great to meet and connect with some really interesting businesses.
Zoe Cuthbertson, Head of Marketing of Wired
MSN19 was the first year Imageco had exhibited at the show. It was our marketing team at Halston Marketing who suggested we should do the show in the first instance.
It didn’t disappoint, our fantastic stand gained lots of attention, the quality of delegate was of the highest standard and we have many great leads to potential new business as a result.
We are looking forward already to exhibiting at MSN20.
Nathan Swinson-Bullough, Managing Director at Imageco
Testimonials from some of Prolific North Live 18’s exhibitors, event partners and sponsors:
“We were delighted to meet with a huge range of members, partners, prospects, old friends and an array of interesting folk at Prolific North Live. It was a very productive two-days for the PRCA, and we’ll definitely be back in Manchester next year to support what is sure to be an even bigger event!”
Steve Miller MPRCA, Membership & Partnerships Director, PRCA
“We had an amazing two days exhibiting at Prolific North Live, even with the challenging weather conditions. We had more visitors to our stand than last year, and the number of meetings already set up and enquiries to work through has dramatically increased.”
Vicki Crosby, Sales Director, Fluid Branding
“We really enjoyed the experience and found it to be a really well run event. We got good traction at our stand and also found the panel session to be very useful. The level of companies exhibiting and on show was really impressive so it was great to be amongst it in that regard also.”
Alan Brennan, Sales & Marketing, VST Enterprises
“This was the largest exhibition that we have invested in to date, it was an exciting and anxious time in the run up! But the audience profile seemed to align perfectly with our target markets, so we felt confident that we would speak to the right people about our white label games.
The Beast from the East was obviously a surprise to us all, but the atmosphere was great as those who made it embraced the cold! We had a great response to our stand, with our branded arcade machine drawing lots of attention allowing us to have some great conversations with potential customers.
Having a slot in the Insights Theatre about ‘Creating a Connection with Games’ gave us great additional pre-show coverage and allowed us to have a platform to showcase the the benefits of using games in marketing strategies to a concentrated audience and was additional way to drive traffic to our stand on the day. Our follow ups have been successful and were hoping to secure a few contracts in the coming months.”
Cari Kirby, Marketing Manager, Team Cooper
“Prolific North Live was an important opportunity for us in terms of getting our brand out there. As a young company it was a great to gain feedback on the brand in general and test the camaraderie of the team. We also made some meaningful connections with a lot of potential partners and clients. We’d definitely recommend signing up for next year!”
Georgia Halston, Founder, Halston Marketing
“PNL is a great flagship event for the North West creative and marketing sector. The Business Marketing Club stand I was on attracted some great conversations and opportunities from contacts we met not have met otherwise. Plus the event programme this year was multi-faceted and provided a platform for some great thinkers to share their expert knowledge. Already in the calendar as a must-attend next year.”
Max Clark, Director of Strategy, Upp B2B & NW Chair, The Business Marketing Club
“This was our first time at Prolific North Live and we were very impressed! The organisation, the layout, the sheer number of exhibitors as well as the marvellous speakers made it a memorable experience. Being based in the North East, our goal was to raise awareness of Generator to a wider, more national audience and we believe we have done that. Even with the ‘Beast from the East’ #PNLive still got plenty of attendance and engagement. We will be back next year.”
Jodie Balmer, Marketing Manager, Generator
The team who run the event @ProlificLive were excellent. Whilst we were busy ahead of time, Jill was great at reminding us to invest the time and effort ahead of the event to get the most out of it. One example was how we dressed the stand. We were advised to make our messaging specific so people knew what we did and what we sold, even making sure to include some pricing so people knew the ballpark of what we were talking about.
On the first day we were there early and got set up. Easy. Sounds silly but we were really conscious to talk to actually people and engage with them. One lesson we learned quickly was do not ask if they would like to know about X product. The answer is probably no! We had to just start conversation. Start a conversation and ask about them, their situation and their challenges. This naturally led on to talking about how we could help. If we couldn’t help then we didn’t force it. Our aim was to give advice and help other businesses and this was really well received. We are not hard sell people and that worked well for us.
Really great show with great people organising. There were lots of people there, even though it was the only two days in the year with a Red Weather Warning for snow! We were really happy with the two days.
Mark Wiseman, Co-Founder, YouCloudIT

We will definitely be back in 2018.”

Ellie England, Search Account Director, Microsoft
“2017 was our second year of exhibiting at Prolific North Live expo and having the show over two days instead of one was definitely better for us as it allowed us more time to network with other exhibitors. We have already picked up two new contracts just one month after the expo! We are looking forward to being involved again next year”
Jinny Chivers, Director of Lunar Aerial Imaging
“Prolific North Live truly exceeded expectations. There was a fantastic turn out of interested and keen attendees, who really engaged with our stands and agency. Testimonials from some of Prolific North Live 16’s exhibitors, event partners and sponsors:
“We’ve yet to exhibit at an event that even comes close to Prolific North Live. Great energy, brilliant content in the seminars and decision makers on every stand. We had over a dozen people ask for a meeting from one day of exhibiting so I can’t wait for the 2 day event next year!”
Paul Barnes, Managing Director, My Accountancy Place
“The Prolific North Live expo was a really great event. The organisation was top notch and the atmosphere on the day was really positive. From an ROI perspective the amount we spent on our stand was really small in comparison to the exposure, leads and business we got on the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the event to other agencies and suppliers.”
James Crawford, Managing Director, PR Agency One
“We’re very glad we signed up to exhibit at the first Prolific North Live event. We saw a very good footfall and had a lot of interest and leads that we took away from the event. Needless to say we’ll be exhibiting again next year!”
Daniel Keighron-Foster, Managing Director, Steamhaus
“The inaugural Prolific North Live proved to be a major coup for our agency. The quality of attendees was second to none, and we went home with a plethora of valuable business leads to follow up with. The ROI we received was multiple times the initial cost outlay required to exhibit. The expo sought to be the premier trade event for marketing, digital and creative businesses in the North, and in our minds it has already achieved that accolade. Next year’s two-day show at EventCity promises to be bigger and even better.”
Jonathan Branney, Buffalo7
“We were one of the first exhibitors to sign up for the inaugural Prolific North Live. The idea of a media, marketing and creative industries expo finally taking place outside of London really appealed to us. The whole day was a huge success. We’ve come away with plenty of ideas and leads and will be returning next year.”
Simon Landi, Managing Director, Access and Event Stream Live
“Well what a day! Around two thousand visitors, expert speakers and exhibitors crammed into The Point, Old Trafford for the inaugural Prolific North Live event. They arrived hoping to be inspired and leave a lot more knowledgeable and connected than when they arrived. Judging from the feedback we heard during the day from the majority of attendees, job done”
Rick Guttridge, Managing Director, Smoking Gun PR
“Some great conversations from people visiting our stand which has paid of for us, so we will be exhibiting again”
Imran Farooq, Managing Director, MMC Learning
“What a great day at the Bruntwood stand at Prolific North LIVE yesterday – they came, they saw and they drank our coffee. Made some great connections and put a few people in touch that could lead to some exciting projects happening.”
Ian Wilson, Marketing Manager, Bruntwood
“You did it – well done guys and thank you – really enjoyed the day and all your hard work paid off. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere – lots of camaraderie and friendship around the room – you really succeeded in bringing the whole industry together. Roll on 2017!”
Clare Briscall, Managing Director, A&P
“PNL was a fantastic success, bringing together the creative, marketing, media and digital industries in the north allows the community to be stronger through referral and knowledge of different skill areas. It opened up conversations with bigger companies that usually would be ignored in an inbox. The opportunity to pitch to investors allowed us to start real conversations around our 5 year plan and give us the confidence to pitch for bigger jobs. Thanks again for an amazing event.”
Joe Gosling, Director, Bearded Fellows
“PNL was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It was very well organised and the footfall was impressive for an inaugural event. We received great feedback from all the visitors who stopped at our stand and from those that attended our presentation in the Mobile Cinema. The brand awareness generated was fantastic and we’ll most certainly be back next year.”
Andrew Lord, Managing Director, Flipbook Studio

A couple of our guys and clients were lucky enough to catch some of the key-note speakers as well and it was a great line-up – the queues out the door were testament to that. I know you’ll probably be inundated with thanks today, but one more can’t hurt! Thanks again from everyone at theEword.”
